Mission
Actively participate in the commercial development of NDT services, carry out inspection and control missions of pressure
equipment and devices using methods for which he/she would be qualified, and advise clients while respecting the
environment and health and safety rules
Responsibilities
● Apply internal HSE policy during mission/inspections
● Collect the elements necessary for the start of a mission as per the internal procedure
● Conduct on-site diagnostic visits before implementing a service
● To establish the test/inspection report(s) after each intervention carried out and submit same to the corresponding clients
● Be willing to carry out missions outside Mauritius
● Ensure and/or carry out the preparation of the equipment and materials to be inspected
● Ensure that you have all the equipment and documentation required before carrying out Non-Destructive Testing at
customers’ premises
● Inspect, test, control, and run in safety valves on test benches
● Carry out Non-Destructive Testing according to the methods for which he is certified or authorized
● Carry out Hydraulic Testing work on tanks or reservoirs, and pipes under the supervision of the Domain Manager
● Ensure preventive and curative maintenance of the equipment/materials made available to him by the company.
● Analyze and interpret data collected in the field of activity
● Maintain and develop client relations
● Involve/follow up in the invoicing recovering process
Profile:
● Minimum qualification: Diploma holder in Industrial Maintenance/Mechanics/Piping/Electromechanics sector
● Minimum experience: 2 years
● Scientific and technical knowledge concerning materials, matter, physics, chemistry, electricity, mechanics, tools, optics,
etc.
● Know the different standards governing NDT, Pressure Equipment Inspection, to the point of being able to identify
information specifically: API, ASME
● Assign the appropriate standard to a given job, have the practice to know the different applications of these standards and
codes
● Qualifications in the following would be an advantage:
o PSV, API 510, API 570, API 576 and Level 1 Electrical Authorization to work on safety valves and carry
out Pressure missions
o Be qualified to carry out Hydraulic Testing work on tanks or reservoirs, pipes
o Have MT2, PT2, RT2 and UT2 qualifications to carry out NDT and visual inspection missions
o Have a detailed and in-depth knowledge of the methodologies relating to the services to be provided
o Have a perfect knowledge of the operation of equipment specific to their specialty, particularly those
likely to be part of their inspection scope;
● Know how to handle PPE
● Conduct comprehensive, relevant, and precise risk analyses
