Key Responsibilities:
🔧 Database Management and Maintenance:
Install and configure databases on UNIX-based and Windows operating systems.
Design and maintain database architecture for optimized performance.
Create, modify, and delete database objects based on change requests.
Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies.
Ensure efficient storage management and perform regular data purging.
Plan and execute database migrations, version upgrades, and transitions to new systems.
🔒 Security and Compliance:
Implement auditing features and report access/process anomalies.
Manage database encryption, masking, and security compliance (ISO27001).
Conduct user access reviews and ensure licensing compliance.
Conduct tests and evaluations for data security, privacy, and integrity.
💾 Backup and Recovery:
Implement Oracle RMAN backup and recovery solutions.
Integrate RMAN backups with third-party tools like Veritas NetBackup.
⚡ Performance and Troubleshooting:
Optimize SQL scripts using database tools.
Troubleshoot database issues and implement effective solutions.
Generate incident reports related to database issues and resolutions.
📑 Collaboration and Documentation:
Create and maintain configuration documents for database systems.
Actively participate in application testing and compatibility analysis.
Collaborate with developers to ensure compatibility with application servers like Tomcat.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
🎓 Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
📜 Certifications:
Oracle DBA certification (11g Release 2, 19c, or higher preferred).
Certified MySQL DBA or equivalent certification.
🛠️ Experience:
🖥️ Technical Skills:
Expertise in database backup, recovery, security, and integrity.
Proficient in SQL and database performance tuning.
Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
Understanding of application servers (e.g., Tomcat).
Knowledge of database security best practices.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
