We are assisting our client in their search for an experienced Joinery Estimator. This position reports to the Commercial Manager and focuses on delivering accurate cost estimations while managing the commercial and contractual aspects of joinery and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate quantities of materials and prepare tender costings
• Extract quantities from architectural and construction drawings to compile Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Evaluate work progress for factory and site claims, and manage invoicing
• Review tender documents against construction drawings and accurately price all variations
• Reconcile the scope of work with BOQs to ensure consistency with client orders
• Liaise with subcontractors, prepare agreements, and manage progress payments
• Maintain accurate records of all variation orders for proper documentation and claims
• Prepare pricing for variation orders and follow up with clients for approval
• Handle claims and supporting documents for both projects and smaller jobs
• Prepare and follow up on monthly payment applications
• Allocate project allowances to production supervisors
• Advise clients and project managers on contractual matters

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of shop and construction drawings
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally within a joinery and fit-out contracting environment
