🚛 JOB OPPORTUNITY: TRANSPORT OFFICER 🚛 📍Riche-terre, Mauritius
We are looking for a Transport Officer for one of our client to play a key role in managing, monitoring, and improving our vehicle fleet, equipment, and transport operations.

🔧 WHAT YOU WILL DO
🚚 Fleet & Equipment Management • Carry out quarterly vehicle inspections and weekly equipment checks • Plan and follow up on vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance • Coordinate with garages and suppliers to ensure fast, quality repairs • Maintain accurate service and repair records in the Fleet Management System • Monitor fleet downtime and escalate risks or unsafe vehicles
📍 GPS, Fuel & Usage Monitoring • Ensure all GPS devices are active and reporting correctly • Review weekly GPS reports (speeding, misuse, abnormal mileage) • Monitor fuel consumption and fuel card usage • Flag anomalies, misuse, or inefficiencies and report accordingly
🦺 Safety & Compliance • Ensure vehicles and equipment meet safety and legal standards • Check availability of PPE, fire extinguishers, emergency kits, and safety devices • Escalate unsafe or non-compliant vehicles immediately
👤 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
✔ Experience in transport or fleet management ✔ Good experience in vehicle mechanics (essential) ✔ Strong planning, follow-up, and organisational skills ✔ Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently ✔ Comfortable with GPS systems, fuel reports, and fleet data ✔ Safety-focused with a positive and professional attitude
